Security
With regards to crime prevention, please remember to keep your house secure – even when there are people in the home. There have been a number of recent incidents of intruders entering properties when residents were inside.

Melton Mowbray rural areas: crime update

A crime update for the rural areas of Melton Mowbray, issued by Hugh Crouch, Community Initiatives Co-ordinator at Melton Police HQ.

Suspicious Vehicle
Please keep an eye out for a suspicious vehicle that has been seen at a number of rural locations to the south of Melton Mowbray on the 2nd September. The vehicle is a Maroon Vauxhall Vectra display a registration number similar to S188NBD. If you see this vehicle can you please call Leicestershire Constabulary with details.

Cold Calling
We have also received reports that a company is calling residents via telephone asking about your security measures including alarms etc. Please be aware of these ?Cold Calls? and if you require security advise please consider the various options open to you.
